Berikut adalah sedikit penjelasan tentang ketiga macam file tersebut :

1. File COD
File tipe : Compiled Source Code
Deskripsi : Compiled source code written in Fortran, dBASE, or Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME); may also be crated with Sun Microsystems' BlackBerry Java Development Environment (JDE).

2. File JAR
File Tipe : Java Archive File
Deskripsi : Archive that contains multiple Java files and is compressed using .ZIP compression; stores Java classes and metadata and may be digitally signed; runs as a program if the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is installed on the computer
